Sabro (former experimental name HBC 438) has complex fruity and citrus flavours, including distinct tangerine, coconut, tropical and stone fruit. In addition, there is a pronounced cream character and secondary flavours of vanilla, cedar, dill, and mint. It is key to brewing our Electric Creamsicle (New England Pale Ale).

Sabro was released in 2018 after a two-decade-long unique cross pollination of a female neomexicanus hop by the Hop Breeding Company (HBC). It follows a great line of interesting hops to come from HBC such as HBC 394 (Citra), HBC 369 (Mosaic) and HBC 366 (Ekuanot).

Typical alpha: 12.0-16.0%

Possible Substitutions: N/A (Sabro is very unique)
