Temperature probe tip, M14x1.5 Metric, 2" probe length

PROBEMETRIC

Stainless steel probe body. Metric (straight) thread probes are normally used directly in a kettle wall such as the Boil Kettle, resulting in a weldless installation. Simply punch a hole in your kettle wall and attach using the included stainless steel nut and silicone washer. 2" long probe (measured from the back part of the threads to the probe tip). Detachable connector with a spring lock. Cable sold separately. Includes water-resistant/splash-proof silicone temperature probe cap.

Our temperature probes use RTD (resistive thermal device) Pt100 sensors instead of K-type thermocouples (TC) as they offer greater accuracy over the brewing temperature range. RTDs also remain more accurate over time (less drift which means less re-calibration).

What size hole is needed for the M14x1.5 probe?

A 9/16" hole is required. We recommend using a hole punch. See our Boil Kettle instructions (STEP 2: Add a temperature probe) for more information.

Are temperature probe tips interchangeable?

Yes. Any of our temperature probe tips can be used with any of our temperature probe cables.
